We advocate the humane treatment of
animals, describe the advantages of
spay/neuter, and urge the adoption of
street dogs and cats through
presentations at schools, newspaper
articles, radio broadcasts, TV spots, and
flyers. Our newsletters in Spanish and
English reach thousands in print and
electronic formats.
Spay/neuter
We subsidize the
spay/neuter of
animals whose
owners cannot
afford the
procedure. Three
or four times a year
we conduct
spay/neuter
campaigns in the
city and in nearby
villages with help
from volunteer
veterinarians,
technicians, and
others.

Rescues
We promote the rescue and
adoption of homeless dogs
and cats, working with
veterinarians. Those who
rescue the animal or those
who adopt the animal pay a
minimal fee to cover the cost
of bathing, treating for
parasites and boarding prior
to their adoption. Amigos
pays the cost of neutering.

"ZOE" gave birth to seven kitties on Jan
29, 2008. They all survived, were
fostered for six weeks, sterilized and
have been all adopted by loving families.
