If you can provide temporary care to a dog or cat rescued by Amigos volunteers, please contact mcpetpartners@yahoo. ca, leaving a telephone number where you can be reached. Your message will be promptly answered. Teach We invite volunteers to give informative talks and to distribute educational materials to adults and children on the care and proper treatment of animals, the prevention of abuse to which they are often subjected, the city’s regulations for the protection of domestic animals, the advantages of sterilizing dogs and cats, and myths about sterilization. Members of Amigos train and supervise the volunteers. Visitors attending language schools in Guanajuato are encouraged to tell classmates about Amigos.
Amigos has three campaigns each year, usually in April, September, and November. The April and September campaigns are held in a rural village on a Sunday; the November campaign is held in a city neighborhood on a weekend. If you have medical training, particularly in veterinary medicine, we can probably use your help. To offer your help, please contact us at amigosanimalgto@yahoo. com. Fundraise If you would like to organize a fundraising event for Amigos, please contact us at www.amigosanimalgto.org and we will offer suggestions and help. If you live in Guanajuato or plan to visit in February, we can use your help during our annual fundraiser. |
