Who we are
Amigos de los Animales de Guanajuato, A.C., was
registered with the Mexican government in 2002
as a voluntary, non-profit association to reduce
the suffering of street dogs and cats in the
municipality of Guanajuato, the capital of the
State of Guanajuato, Mexico. All Amigos
members are volunteers; we have no paid staff.
In 2006 we also established a non-profit
corporation in the State of New York and
received exemption from U.S. federal income
tax under section 501(c)3 of the Internal
Revenue Code.
